EXTERIOR BUILDING RENOVATION
Our excellent testimonials speak for the quality of our exterior building improvement projects. The retrofit of one of the oldest high-rise apartment buildings in Karlsruhe is just an example. Our goal here was very ambitious and the energy consumption values we achieved were significantly lower than energy-efficiency levels prescribed for new buildings by Germany’s energy code. INTERIOR BUILDING IMPROVEMENT
The remodeling of bathrooms, kitchens, and heating
systems in apartments can be noisy and unpleasant and greatly inconvenient for tenants.
This kind of disturbance can also have a negative effect on health of residents
living in nursing homes and residential homes for the elderly. When we
renovated the Hamburg-Neuwiedenthal retirement home, we used a completely new approach.
Residents were given the opportunity to take a vacation and leave Hamburg for the duration
of construction, expected to last more than two weeks. They relaxed and enjoyed
themselves in peace and quiet at the B&O-owned Park Hotel in Bad Aibling,

EXAMPLES OF RENOVATION PROJECTS
IMPROVEMENTS IN OCCUPIED APARTMENTS
B&O excels at renovating occupied apartments. We take pride in a perfectly developed sequence of operations using prefabricated elements whenever possible. We have an experienced team of workmen and technicians on staff, guaranteeing you an outstanding level of workmanship. B&O’s experience in dealing with occupants is a key factor in achieving tenant satisfaction in spite of the disruptions and inconveniences caused by construction work. Tenants can contact our staff 24 hours a day. A good example of this kind of project is our renovation of a large residential housing development built in the 1960s in Dortmund-Mengede. PLUMBING RETROFIT
Take advantage of our professionally-arranged sequence of operations. We need only five days to install new bathroom plumbing – from the removal of old pipes to the installation of new pipes, sanitary ware, dry lining, tiling and grouting. Moreover, we guarantee that in the evening all apartments have a working toilet and a tap with running water.
RELOCATION MANAGEMENT
Some interior renovation projects require tenants to move out for the time of construction. In these cases B&O offers well-organized relocation management services. It is our policy to prepare tenants well in advance by providing them with the comprehensive information they need and keeping them informed as work progresses. B&O staff members are available for tenants’ assistance during the entire period of relocation and renovation. An excellent example of how smoothly B&O manages the temporary relocation of occupants was the renovation of 226 apartments owned by the GEWOBAU Erlangen housing association.
